5. Why can’t we use up all the space on the sign? Why are we limited in characters??
Due to the arrangement of the artwork, size of the space available, and limitations of our manufacturing process we limit all signs to a particular font size and limit character length of each line of the sign.
The short answer to this is that we can only fit so much on one line and have it fit within the parameters of the artwork used for the sign.
1.5 inch font: 30 Characters per line, please note that capital letters take 1.5 characters.
2 inch font: (First line of ECWY sign only) limited to 15 characters per line.

The Episcopal Marketplace is happy to announce that we are the primary vendor for all authorized branded materials for the Episcopal Church, and with that comes great responsibility. The new Episcopal Church Welcomes You sign design is the only design authorized by the communications office at the Church Center, and therefore the only sign design available.
We believe in the importance of communicating the brand of the Episcopal Church with elegance and a high quality product, and have worked hard to make this sign suitable for your needs.
The Episcopal Church Welcomes You sign that has been adorning roadways and buildings for the past 60 years has a new distributor. It is now available only from Episcopal Marketplace.
And it has a new look. The attractive redesign revitalizes the Episcopal brand with an updated shield and lettering against a background of blue or red. This is the only road sign approved by Church Center in New York.
Made of porcelain fused to 18-gauge steel using a process developed before the time of Christ, this sign has the strength of steel and the imperviousness of glass. It is unaffected by rain, sun, snow, dust, grime, air pollution and graffiti. The colors are permanent and will not fade, oxidize, peel or blister. The new Episcopal Church Welcomes You sign is maintenance free and if properly installed should last a lifetime.
Whether contemplating replacing existing old damaged or rusted signage or thinking about buying for the first time, Episcopal Marketplace is ready to assist.

Permissions, Placement and Assembly
Before purchasing, secure consent of the existing property owner where the sign is to be placed and become familiar with municipal, county and/or state government regulations and permitting requirements, if any, that may be applicable. In most cases where regulations apply, limitations on placement and overall height will be clearly spelled out.
Assembling and placing the sign will require a local handyman or contractor. Try finding such person in the congregation. The sign attaches to a scroll bracket (with clips provided with the sign), and in turn mounts to a steel pipe the length of which is determined by how high the sign is to be from street level. The materials needed to be purchase locally include a 2”steel pipe or preferably square tube, a finial, and a couple of mounting bolts for the scroll bracket. The following schematic should provide a good idea of how to actually accomplish the task.
